Is the plan ending, or are its benefits changing?
An Annual Notice of Change can describe new costs or benefits while your plan continues. A nonrenewal or service-area notice can mean that the plan will no longer be available to you. A replacement or automatic transition may be different again. Keep the entire letter, including its dates and plan number, so the next step is based on your actual situation.
Check the doctors and prescriptions you use
A familiar carrier name does not establish that the replacement plan has the same network or drug coverage. Include each physician, practice location, hospital, medication strength and pharmacy. If you receive care in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky, include those locations in the review too. The home county determines which plans you can consider.
Confirm the enrollment window before making a change
Annual Enrollment runs October 15 through December 7, 2026, for changes generally effective January 1, 2027. A plan ending or another qualifying event may create a different enrollment opportunity. The exact notice and circumstances determine the applicable window. Do not assume every plan-change letter creates the same deadline.
Start with a telephone review
Have your notice, current plan name, doctors and prescription list ready for your conversation. Do not upload Medicare numbers or medical records through the contact form. SBR is based in Cincinnati, in Anderson Township, and assists Clermont County residents by telephone. This page does not represent a Batavia or Milford office.
